GRIND MINDED Part Ways With GOD DETHRONED Bassist, Announce Replacement

January 5, 2006

Dutch old-school death metallers GRIND MINDED have parted ways with bassist Henke Zinger (also in GOD DETHRONED) after "nine years of loyal service," according to a press release. "It was getting difficult for him to combine both GRIND MINDED and GOD DETHRONED," the band write. "We had a good talk all together and decided what was best for Henke and us." Replacing Zinger in the group's lineup is GRINROTH bassist Jasper "Boldey" Bolderdijk, who had previously performed with GRIND MINDED as a session musician. "If we would ever need anyone to replace Boldey if can't play, Henke will play (if he's available)," the group explain. "Nevertheless we wish Henke the best with GOD DETHRONED and the future. Thanks, dude."

In other news, GRIND MINDED have signed a deal with the American label Sorrow Embraced Records for the release of their first full-length album, entitled "9mm Facial" (originally issued in Europe in 2004). More details will be made available soon. The band are currently writing material for a new album, tentatively due before the end of the year.
